Valerie Albrecht shares writing, yoga, yoga birthing, massage therapy, hypnotherapy, and speech pathology from her home in the rolling green hills of Northern New South Wales, Australia. She has a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Pathology, with a double major in psychology, and this book completes her Masters Degree in Art, majoring in writing. She is also a Reiki Master and Crystal Healer. In her role as Yoga and Massage Educator for North Coast Area Health, New South Wales Australia, between 2002-2007, Valerie  introduced Yoga Birthing and Natural Therapies in maternity hospitals and conducted Moving Into Motherhood Retreats for women and their partners in many locations on the east coast of Australia. She has taught yoga in Portugal, India and America, worked with obstetricians in rural Rajestan India, and trained pre-natal yoga teachers in India. Valerie presented for Birth India at their 2008 international conference for Indian Caesarian Awareness Week, and presented and read from “Search for Mother” to the Algarve Cultural Society Portugal in July 08.  Her story, work, passions and inspirations became Search for Mother, released Feb 2010 Inkwell Productions Arizona. She is also a commissioned biographer. Currently Valerie teaches writing at various Colleges of Adult Education, conducts Yoga classes and teaches her course "Honoured Birth" which is now an accredited elective with the Australian College of Midwifery. 2011 will see her in Seattle at Washington University in February and in May in Sydney for the International Natural Medicine Summit. Also in May Valerie will be presenting at the Pacific Association for Labour Support Conference, Bastyr Midwifery College and Bookshop, Bio-ethics and Humanities Faculty Washington University Seattle and at the American College of Nursing and Midwifery Conference San Antonio Texas.
